Top Navigation & Maps Apps on Android in Central America Q2 2025

In the second quarter of 2025, the performance of the top navigation and maps applications on the Android platform in Central America showed varied trends. Here’s a closer look at the top five apps based on their performance metrics.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a consistent increase in weekly downloads, rising from approximately 80K in early April to about 102.5K in mid-June. The app maintained strong engagement, with weekly active users starting at around 5.3M and peaking at nearly 5.8M in early June.

Google Earth showed a fluctuating download trend, with numbers ranging from 17.8K to 25K. Active user numbers reflected a similar pattern, beginning at 353K and ending the quarter around 330K, with peaks and troughs throughout.

Offline Maps, GPS, Speedometer saw a decrease in downloads from 12.3K at the start of April to 9.4K by the end of June. The weekly active users also saw a slight decline, moving from 29.8K to 28.1K over the quarter.

GPS Map Driving Directions had an interesting trajectory with downloads peaking at 22.5K in early May before declining sharply to 1.3K by mid-June. Active users followed a similar trend, rising to 15.7K in mid-May before dropping to 8.6K at the quarter's end.

GPS Satellite Live Earth Map managed a steady download rate, averaging around 6.5K weekly. Active user numbers were consistent, beginning at 54.5K and ending at 60.5K.
